چکیده

Preface In the master program of the Electrical Engineering study at Technical University of Eindhoven two internships are obligated, each with a duration of 50 half-days. These internships are part of the preparation phase for graduation. The goal is to practice the skills needed for graduation, and to get acquainted with a professional level of certain research areas. The two internships should, therefore, be at different research chairs. Haan of the Electronic Systems (ES) chair, which is part of the sub-department Information and Communication Systems (lCS). The assignment focuses on image processing, more particularly on post-processing techniques for compression artifact removal in block-coded video and images.
